Reid responds to gun owner pressure

Politicians of both parties listen to gun owners.

Just take Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) as an example.  Reid, who faces a very tough reelection in pro-gun Nevada, has been walking a tight rope with gun owners.

Members of the National Association for Gun Rights and gun rights activists from across the country have been pressuring Senator Reid to support gun rights.

With his reelection hanging in the balance, Reid is beginning to respond to our pressure.  Reid, who controls virtually everything that goes on in the United States Senate, has allowed a number of pro-gun amendments to come to the floor for a vote.    Reid has even expressed his support for a gun rights amendment put forward by Senator John Thune (R-SD).

From Politico.com:

But it was the Democratic leader Reid, who is facing a potentially difficult 2010 re-election bid in his libertarian-minded state of Nevada, who green-lighted bringing the measure to a floor vote.

Lautenberg declined to speculate on why Reid had decided to bring the amendment to the floor – or if it had anything to do with election politics – but said he believed Reid would be voting against the measure.

“He is with us,” Lautenberg declared.

But Reid told reporters today that he would vote in favor of the Thune amendment.

Asked why, Reid responded: “I’m not going to explain why I’m voting for it. I’m just voting for it.”

Gun rights activists in Nevada and across the country must continue to pressure Senator Reid to prevent ant-gun legislation from coming up for a vote in the United States Senate.

Is there some reason to believe that Senator Reid has changed his many year opinions about gun control just before an election? If I were to be living in Nevada I would be voting on his history. And voting him out.

I live in Las Vegas, and folks when we look at the big picture surrounding Harry, the decision to keep or let go of him seems quite clear, See ya !!. Oh, I will never forget his comment on National T.V. “We lost the war”.
Now this revelation really upsets me. Harry is the problem with all things gone bad in U.S. Politics, and make no mistake about it, he’s anti-gun. It’s election time, so sure he’s a bit attentive to the gun lobby, and he’s thrown us a few bones. Too bad he’s not sincere. Politicians are well dressed pimps, and their whore is this great country and the un-informed masses. Everyone, and every tangible item this country has or had to offer is for sale, sadly. Please help get Harry out once and for all !!.

I heard from sources that the vote was rigged from the beginning. On the floor of the Senate, politicians who needed the votes for their upcoming elections were counting to see if they could vote for the Thune bill and still have enough votes to overturn it. Then they asked permission to vote one way or the other.
    Throw the bums out.

It is time to treat Harry right. Make him vote pro-gun and throw the bum out on his ear!

  • You want to make sure that your rights are protected? Then vote Reid out. Vote all the fat cats out and lets get people for the people.

Harry Reid is what is wrong with the Republic. To many years living off the fat sow of government and now Harry sees it slipping away. I truly hope the voters in Nevada gives the turd the flush he deserved years ago.

Reid will do as the so called President has done. Never ending “say one thing and do the other”. That is the Mode of Operation. Do not Trust him and or Them. You can check their votes, see their histoy. Reid,Pelosi,Dodd,Graham (R) Nelson,Stabenow, Levin, just to name a few. Do not trust them. They do not work for the people anymore,if ever. Vote them out in the upcoming elections. They have to go away. Our very Republic and Freedoms are at stake. Especially with this administrations continious take over. Vote Them Out.

Accept his support, then vote the maggot out in November.

Vote for ‘SHARRON ANGLE’, get rid of Reid! Go to her website and read all about a great, conservative, American-rights person! She has the experience and be a good representative of Nevandans!

I live in Nevada and have watched Reid waffle back and forth on a number of issues. Before he does anything he checks to see which way the wind is blowing and then seeks permission from Nancy Pelosi and President Obama to either vote or bring legislation to the floor for a vote. I have been to a couple of his campaign rallies here in Nevada and he says nothing that would commit him to anything. I have written him on several occasions and received either a form letter from one of his assistants or no reply at all. This guy is as slippery as a snake and I, for one am going to do everything I can to get him out of office.

All Nevadans should vote the bum out. And when considering the alternatives to Senator Reid, we should ask the candidate what their stance is on the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and what they will do while in office to honor their oath to Preserve, Protect, and Defend the Constitution along with all of the rights enumerated in OUR Bill of Rights.

Harry Reid says he “loves” guns. But he NEVER says he “loves” nor supports the 2nd Amendment as written and intended by our founding fathers.

Some say Harry has been “not too bad” on gun issues. After all, he played a big part in obtaining the Clark County Shooting Park.

But why, oh why, did he vote to confirm Sotomayor to the Supreme Court??? THAT alone negates ANY reason to suport Harry Reid.

Harry Reid is NOT right for Nevada. He needs to go away.
