… no not that hand gesture, one much more benign.
A Michigan boy was suspended for making a gun gesture with his hand.
That’s right, hoplophobia and Big Brother Nanny-ism has reached a new low.
Erin Jammer, said her son, Mason, was just playing around when he made the gesture Wednesday, the Grand Rapids Press reported.
“I do think it’s harsh for a six-year-old. He’s six and he just likes to play. Maybe what you could do is take his recess away. He’s only six and he doesn’t understand any of this,” Erin Jammer said.
But officials at Jefferson Elementary School said the behavior made other students uncomfortable, and they suspended Mason for the remainder of the week, the paper reported.
Anti-gun activism is rampant at all level of government. Gun owners must continue to be vigilant, and counter these sort of outrageous actions.

To the Principal,
After reading about the suspension of a six year old for making a gun gesture at your school, I sadly felt it necessary to remind those charged with educating the children of this state, that there is such a thing as “age appropriate” discipline. Is it considered too difficult or “above your pay grade” to simply pull the boy aside and say that what he did can be considered inappropriate or offensive to some and should not be repeated? If my five year old can understand that then certainly a six year old publicly schooled child should as well. Do you suspend any and all children who swear, call another names or push and shove? Many find those behaviors even more offensive than pretending your hand is a gun. Yet I know that those behaviors do not send children home with the same frequency. A teenager would have more understanding of this and would more likely have done it to actually be threatening and would have warranted possible suspension, but a six year old? Can we please use some common sense? I realize it’s not so common anymore but I really think it should make a comeback. What do you think? I think it could start with school officials not being afraid to use it themselves. I certainly hope you regain your senses and prove to the parents of this sate and your school that you are qualified for this job.

The way they are going in schools today, if he had used his finger to sodomize another boy they’d have him teaching their perverted “sex education” instead of suspending him. What stupid, sick school administrators we have!
At first I thought “No way…they’ve got to be kidding!!”, but then I remembered an incident in a local school here a couple years back. I teach a community education program to high school kids and use a school room in the evenings. I was carrying a pocket watch with a chain attaching it to my belt. Now, mind you this chain is about the size of a necklace chain, not a logging chain. The principal of this school told me that I would have to take it off and put it in my vehicle as their policy qualified a chain as a “weapon” and would not be allowed in the school. Our schools are so out of touch with reality, over-run with tree-hugging liberals and anti-gunners that our next generation is going to be lost when confronting the real world. When did things go so wrong??? I remember taking real guns to school to work on them in shop class, or carrying my shotgun on the school bus because I was going to a friends house after school to go grouse hunting. Now the poor little guy gets kicked out of school for pointing his finger????? Give me a break!!! If I still had kids of school age, I’d be teaching them at home. God help us all in the next few years………..

My husband and I are NRA members, hunters and trap shouters. We have herd some rather rediculous things about guns and children. This takes the cake. Children can’t have emaginations. What of the future military and police officers. Do you think a child with a science fair project of hydrgen explosion, etc should be condemed? GOD help us. What is this world coming to? An END!
Ridiculous! You say some of your students were uncomfortable with the harmless gesture. When I went to school, the big tough “switch” the teachers kept in their rooms made me and, I suppose, every one else feel UNCOMFORTABLE! Do you think anyone cared? NO. The poor little guy (age 6) must have been petrified. Shame on those big bullies who look for every opportunity to scare little ones SMALLER THAN THEY ARE.
It is another case of ignorance gone to seed. When are people going to deal with children as children instead of requiring them to know how to be politically correct? Obviously there are risks involved in schools with guns, but I hardly think the finger on a boy’s hand constitutes a suspension from school for most of a week. It’s unfortunate the school and administrators didn’t use common sense in the situation.

Between the ages of 9 and 17 saved my A$$ many times during WW2 in the SouthPacific Campaign Theater.
I think they had ought to get their heads screwed on straight and think this situation thru to at least 15 or 20 years into the future! They may get a differant slant on shaping a Hand Gun with a Thumb Index Finger and three finger folded into the palm.
I find that’s a lot better than using the Index Finger for the International signal of you know what.
Seems to me that maybe we should just start Homeschooling our kids. If the left is getting this bad “We The People” need to start teaching our kids the basics and leave the schools out of our loop. We are the ones that teach our kids the meanings of right and wrong NOT the school system and certainly NOT this wretched gov’ment. 35 years ago I and my friends would run the neighborhoods playing cops and robbers or cowboys and indians and NOONE said a single word about it. When we got to highschool we would play assasin, running the hallways, with rubber tipped dart guns, the teachers took them away if we got caught but that was all. This society has gotten Totally out of control and it’s hightime WE regained our control over these Knotheads.

Is it really true that you suspended a 6-year-old boy for playing like his hand was a gun?
I grew up playing “cowboys” and “army.” My 3 daughters and 2 sons did the same as well as my 8 grandsons have or do now. I have taught them gun safety—how to handle and effectively use this tool as a means of recreation and self-defense. We all love to shoot. (Only one son hunts with his father-in-law.) The anti-gun mindset today is a social (and mental) illness that infects the ignorant (that’s uninformed) and is spread by those who want to control other’s lives.
Students (children) who are uncomfortable around a six-year-old boy playing like his hand is a gun “learned” that paranoia from adults. It is not a natural response (otherwise, I would have 15 children and grandchildren growing up cowering under their beds). So these students have become infected by a social disease that has no basis in reason, logic, or in actual day-to-day life (statistics if you will); they have become victims of ignorant adults. As far as I am concerned, that is not education (gaining knowledge), that is child abuse.
Gun bans in the UK have resulted in a 40% rise in gun crime since the early 90’s. Police didn’t carry guns for years. Now that the citizens have been unarmed, the criminals can operate unhindered in a “gun-free” society (like shooting fish in a barrel). What has been the response of law enforcement? The British police now routinely carry automatic weapons. Everywhere gun bans have gone into effect, violent crime has increased dramatically—in the UK, Canada, Australia, etc. Who were once citizens have now become slaves to paranoia and fear.
The efforts of the anti-gun establishment wants to turn us all into slaves and victims. Criminals don’t care about gun bans; as far as they are concerned, “gun-free” zones are killing fields. Anti-gunners are indoctrinating children to fear a tool while ignoring the operator of the tool. People driving cars kill far more people than guns. Why not ban cars? More people drown each year than are killed by guns. I guess we need to outlaw swimming pools, lakes and beaches. People kill other people with knives, baseball bats, rocks, hockey sticks, award statues, etc.—more than guns. Shall we outlaw all these things from society as well? And if not, why not? Is a person killed by the use of a gun more dead than someone killed by a car?
When will the insanity and paranoia stop and we return to reason and understand that evil and the will to murder resides in people, not in things. Adults who plant anti-gun paranoia in children are irresponsible and guilty of child abuse. They have put an imaginary gun to the heads of their own children, made them believe a lie, and caused them to live in an unreasonable state of fear.
Shame on you and on all who continue to propagate such sickness.

I have to say this is too harsh. I work for a school district and the student is talked to and recess is taken a way or they sit for recess. Now if they try to hurt a student then they get in school suspendtion. This has been taken out of context all the way. I would fight the school on this and have them look at this punishment further.
Totally stupid ! There is not much more to say except when the next war comes along they need to send the bleeding heart principals and teachers from these schools in first. Then, maybe, they might gain a bit of knowledge about weapons and why we use them in war in lieu of pointing fingers and saying POW.

We need to pick our battles better. My children at 6 knew not to aim a gun {Real or imagined} at anyone. This problem with this child has been going on for months and the mom did nothing about it. I have 3 sons by the way and we all believe in the 2nd amendment and zero tollerance in the schools is stupid but this time the school got it right.

We have established that many of today’s women are a lot crazier than nature meant them to be, and we are searching for the reason. Our thesis of course is that the disorder is not accidental, that it is the product of a carefully orchestrated plan. Let’s begin by looking at that plan and then comparing it to what we know is happening.
In the Manifesto of the Communist Party, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels wrote that with the introduction of Communism, “The bourgeois family will vanish as a matter of course.” The authors explain that the “bourgeois claptrap about the family and education, about the hallowed co-relation of parent and child,” is “disgusting.” The Communists “desire to introduce, in substitution for a hypocritically concealed, an openly legalized, community of women.”
Why have the Communists been so hostile to the family from the beginning? Because, politically, the family is a rival center of power. Communism is totalitarian and tolerates no rivals. It prefers disconnected individuals it can pick off at whim without repercussions because the victims have no backup. The stronger the families, the harder it is to impose totalitarian dictatorship. So Communism has always worked to weaken the family, if not destroy it. How could you destroy the family? How could you destroy the idea of family in the minds of the people?
How about dragging women out of the house? A woman is the heart of a family. Without a woman your house, however fancy, is a mere place to flop. Only a woman can make it a home. Yes, it’s a cliché, but remember that a saying becomes a cliché only because it makes so much sense that people keep repeating it. A cliché begins as a flash of originality, but, because its wisdom contains the seeds of its own destruction, it ends as the humdrum, as a . . . as a . . . cliché.
You could destroy the family – you could at least drastically reduce its importance – by changing women from mothers at home to women in common, in a “legalized, community of women.” How could you do that? Why not try this:
“We are immensely wealthy, powerful men, but we are not satisfied with our wealth and power. We want it all. We want total power so we can force you to do as we like. You represent a rival source of power, so we have decided to drag you out of your home, because with you gone your family would fall apart.” Hmm! Would this work? No. However crazy some women are, they are not stupid. They wouldn’t fall for it.
How about this instead? William Zebulon Foster was General Secretary of the Communist Party, USA, the number one red in this country. Foster was also one of the founders of the American Communist Liars Union (ACLU), the executive director of which for many years was Roger N. Baldwin, who said, “Communism is the goal.” Is there any part of that you don’t understand? That is why ACLU has always attacked Christianity. Communists hate God.
In Toward Soviet America (New York, International Publishers, 1932) Foster explained how this country would get there: “. . . The so-called freedom of the American woman is a myth. Either she is a gilded butterfly bourgeois parasite or she is an oppressed slave.”
This is supremely revealing. Consider that before Communist strategist Foster launched this campaign, any idea that an American wife and mother, a “homemaker,” if you will, was a “parasite,” someone who did not earn her own way, but, rather, feasted on the blood of a host, would have been labeled insane stupidity.
Remember your mother, or, if you are still wearing pigtails, your grandmother. She was an august personality with immense authority. You were a tad scared of her when you were still wearing pigtails, because her “word was law.” If you didn’t believe that and needed convincing, you could disobey, but then, like a royal, she would make a sign or maybe nod or say a word and a male fist would come out of the darkness and nail you to the wall, which brought an unbeliever to religion real quick.
Such is the status Christianity confers on a mother. It would have been inconceivable, impossible to call such a dignitary a “parasite.” Notice also in passing that a parasite is not a victim. The host is the victim, the oppressed. The parasite is the oppressor, the bloodsucker. In this case, the man would be a victim of the woman. So, this Communist jargon devised by Foster is convoluted and contradictory.
But a Communist scheme need not include logic if it inflames. Foster here introduced the crazy idea that all the things a woman does in the home are worthless, that she can take no satisfaction in them, that they are forced on her and that because she sucks the life blood from her husband she is “oppressed.” This would take some time to sell because, remember, Foster is not talking about Saudi women but about Americans, by far the freest women who have ever lived anywhere.
In the face of that happy fact, Foster sets forth in detail the arguments his Communists would use to achieve Marx’s destruction of the family. For decades they labored to “prove” that something systemic was wrong. “The life of the working class woman and poor farmer’s wife is one of drudgery and exploitation. . . . The boasted American home, enslaving the woman through her economic inferiority and her children, makes her dependent upon her husband. . . .”
If a woman cannot find satisfaction at home, then obviously, in this Communist logic, she must find it elsewhere. Foster exults: “The Russian woman is free economically, and this is the foundation of all her freedom. Every field of activity is open to her. She is to be found even in such occupations as locomotive engineer, electrical crane operator, machinist . . . .”
Imagine! Instead of beautifying her home, raising vegetables in her garden, inculcating wisdom in her children, advancing the community (maybe sleeping in of a morning) and parasitically sucking the tired blood from her boring, old husband, she could be dressing in grungies and machining her machine. How thrilling and feminine! Just what every little girl wants to grow up to do. Notice here the unspoken assertion that the genders are the same. Remember that we have already torn the head off that preposterous notion.
“The Russian woman is also free in her sex life,” says Foster. “When married life becomes unwelcome for a couple they are not barbarously compelled to live together. Divorce is to be had for the asking by one or both parties. . . .” Wow! Free love! A lot more sex than poor, old Dad can provide, exhausted by a day’s work and then by Parasite Mom sucking his tired, old blood. No wonder Dad suffers from E.D.
But now here comes the kicker. What’s the worst thing a woman does at home, does every day? What does every woman hate? It’s housework, of course! “In freeing the woman, Socialism eliminates the drudgery of housework. . . . Great factory kitchens are being set up to prepare hot, well-balanced meals for home consumption by the millions; communal kitchens in apartment houses are organized widespread. . . .”
Wow! Foster sure is an expert on women. Who could have guessed that because they hate housework so much, what women want are communal kitchens, in which other women would be doing the cooking while the female machinists slap on some Gunk to get rid of the grease on their fingers. I sure didn’t know that.
Foster probably figured women would jump on his idea because, however clever they are, women have not been able to get men to do sustained housework – other than take out the garbage – but recall that, since he wrote, men have invented endless labor-saving appliances for women, so house work is less of a problem.
Finally, there are the kids. Communist ACLU founder William Z. Foster says this: “To free the woman from the enslavement of the perpetual care of her children is also a major object of Socialism. To this end in the Soviet Union there is being developed the most elaborate system of kindergartens and playgrounds in the world . . . .”
Here, Foster really spills the frijoles. Notice that for a mother to take care of her own children is “enslavement.” Apparently it is not enslavement for someone else – a different mother – to take care of them, while their own mother works as a machinist. Remember, we have established with exhaustive documentation that the genders are basically different, and Foster’s Communist idea flies in the face of everything we know about women.
Yes, his idea was hard to sell, but, after decades of daily repetition by our Communist media and schools, millions of mothers have bought it. Certainly millions of others have not, but the advocates of his idea today control the culture and have put those others on the defensive. Motherhood today is running scared.
Because of his system, women no longer need stay at home. So, Foster planted the seeds of what we now call day care. Mom has nothing to worry about, he says: “While she is at work she can be sure that her child is being well taken care of, and that it is supervised by trained nurses and teachers, and gets wholesome food at regular hours.”
That was and is the Communist plan for women. Ask yourself, does any of it look familiar? Do you see any of Foster’s proposals at work on the landscape? In fact, if you go down the list of what Marx demanded in the Communist Manifesto, you will see that, without exception, we have installed it.

This is the generation that we are in. We have all heard of Generation X and Generation Y, This is Generation Stupid. All anyone with a couple of synapses firing occasionally, would simply tell the boy not to do it again and leave it go.

Its no wonder the children are not being given a education as those running schools have lost any idea of what their jobs are. They just look for some stupid thing way for them to show who is in charge. Think its time to run all of them out of office, but then the people put them in office. Thank God they can only run for office twice where I live. yet we still keep repeating the same mistake and putting more idiots in office…

I think that the school systems should be teaching our kids gun safety instead of being in fear of guns. I teach both of my boys the same way I was taught. I keep loaded weapons readily available. And they know better than to touch them unless needed to protect themselves or me and my wife and property. This thing is gonna come to a head and it ain’t gonna be pretty.
My neighbor wouldn’t allow her boys to have any toy guns or replicas. When her 4 year old son would come to play with my daughter, he would pick up a Barbie hairdryer and run through the house “shooting” the bad guys. This is simple childs play and shows how inept and ignorant the school adminstrators at this school are.
My daughters have their own guns and are very good shots. They also have been told to “leave and tell an adult” if they encounter a gun anywhere inside or outside of our house.
My guess is the kid is white, blacks don’t get suspended.
