Job Summary:

The National Association for Gun Rights seeks a Spring Intern to assist staff in the D.C. office.

The position is best suited to those who are highly organized and detail-oriented, able to problem-solve and think on their feet, strong writers, and keen to learn and take on responsibility. It is important that the candidate is genuinely enthusiastic about policy issues pertaining to the organization. Experience with the legislative process preferred. Flexible scheduling can be discussed.

 

Primary Duties:

 

  • Prepare hearing and markup materials
  • Manage correspondence and records
  • Research legislative and policy issues
  • Schedule meetings for the Federal Liaison
  • Assist with bill tracking, and ordering office supplies

 

This is an unpaid internship that provides exposure to the inside operations on Capitol Hill supplemented with educational tools to further your career in politics and government.
