ACTION NEEDED: Gun Control Vote Coming Soon!

Dear NAGR Supporter,

Barack Obama must be grinning from ear to ear.

As I have been warning you, our worst fears have come true: President Trump is openly pushing gun control.

Making matters worse, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) told a national audience Wednesday night on CNN, the Senate could move to pass gun control as soon as they get back into town on Monday.

NAGR Supporter, I know it’s shocking and disgusting to see so many Republican politicians stomping over your Constitutionally-protected right to bear arms.

But as Second Amendment supporters, now is the time to rally in support of our rights and beat back the media’s anti-gun narrative.

Right now we need all hands on deck making phone calls and taking action to oppose gun control.

Your lawmakers MUST hear from you if we’re going to have a chance to stop this gun control push.

Only the actions of National Association for Gun Rights members and supporters like you can help contain the damage politicians in both parties are trying to inflict.

So please call your lawmakers right now!

If you need help reaching any of your lawmakers, the Congressional switchboard line is (202) 224-3121.

When you make your calls, your message can be as simple as “VOTE AGAINST S.2135 (FIX-NICS) and EVERY other gun control proposal.”

After all, there is evidence to show the actions of gun rights supporters like you are already having an effect on the White House.

After endorsing gun control proposals early in the week, President Trump is now beginning to shift his tone to focus on school security.

Even more encouraging, the White House spokesperson indicated that they would stop short of backing a complete Clinton-style gun ban.

But it’s my hope that your phone calls can convince President Trump to follow through and abandon his support for gun control entirely.

Sadly, we’re knee deep in the largest federal fight for our gun rights in decades.

All of the Obama-era gun control proposals you and I worked so hard to defeat for eight years are once again on the table.

As you read this, the fight is igniting over in the GOP-led Senate, where a final “deal” could be voted on Monday.

And if it passes, the House could vote soon after that, putting gun control on the President’s desk very soon.

Mark my words, if the GOP-led U.S. Senate is foolish enough to take up this bill, it will get MUCH worse.

We’re talking about:

*** Raising the minimum age to buy or possess a rifle, assuring that a 20-year-old single mother can’t defend her family from a home invader. This bill was just sponsored by Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ).

*** Gun Violence Confiscation Orders, allowing a family member, disgruntled ex-partner, or roommate to report you to a court and have your guns taken away -- ALL WITHOUT TRIAL OR DUE PROCESS.

*** A new ban on standard-capacity magazines, assuring that criminals will have more firepower than law-abiding gun owners.

NAGR Supporter, this is about Big Government gun control -- make no mistake about it.

As a starting point, the bill the Senate could vote on Monday is S.2135, the “Feinstein-Cornyn” proposal I’ve been warning you about.

S.2135 would expand the Brady Gun Control Registry and strip gun rights from scores of law-abiding Americans without due process.

Specifically, the Feinstein-Cornyn gun control bill will:

*** Strip hundreds of thousands of Americans (or more) of their gun rights without due process.

*** Spend at least $625 MILLION over the next five years on putting more names of law-abiding Americans on the Brady-NICS gun control database.

*** Threaten to revive Obama’s failed Social Security Gun Ban that would have destroyed the gun rights of 4.2 million senior citizens.

While all of this is very concerning, I take comfort in the fact that I am fighting alongside pro-gun patriots like you, NAGR Supporter.

That’s why I hope you’ll call BOTH of your U.S. Senators and your Congressman and urge them to OPPOSE all Gun Control Deals. Even gun control backed by Trump.

Please call your lawmakers right now!
If you need help reaching any of your lawmakers, the Congressional Switchboard line is (202) 224-3121.

When you make your calls, your message can be as simple as “VOTE AGAINST S.2135 (FIX-NICS) and EVERY other gun control proposal.”

Grassroots gun activists must keep up the pressure on the Senate to do the right thing and KILL the gun bill once and for all.

That means we need every law-abiding gun owner to flood their U.S. Senators’ offices with calls, demanding that they oppose S. 2135 and every other gun control proposal, even gun control supported by President Trump.

Please do not wait to take action.

Call your Senators and Congressman right now.

For Freedom,

Dudley Brown
President
National Association for Gun Rights
