White House: Trump "supportive" of gun control

BREAKING FROM FOX NEWS:
White House says Trump “supportive” of Feinstein-backed gun control.
Urge President Trump to stand firm against the anti-gun media hysteria.

Dear NAGR Supporter,

My jaw just hit the floor.

According to reports on Fox News, the White House says President Donald Trump is “supportive” of the Dianne Feinstein-backed gun control bill we’ve been warning you about.

For the sake of your Second Amendment rights, I hope it’s not true.

But here’s exactly what’s being reported:

“White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump spoke on Friday to Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn about a bill the Texas Republican had introduced alongside (anti-gun Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. and) Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn . . . While discussions are ongoing and revisions are being considered, the president is supportive of efforts . . .”

-- Fox News 2/18/2018

Now, NAGR Supporter, I hope Sanders simply misspoke about Trump’s support for this bill.

After all, President Trump himself pushed back hard against “feel good” gun control measures.

But the anti-gun hysteria in the media is reaching a boiling point.

And it's times like this where even the most “pro-gun” Republicans begin to cave to the CNN’s of the world by backing gun control.

They take terrible advice, from the slimiest swamp consultants and let it seep into bad “deals” aimed at undermining your freedoms.

No politician is immune from Washington.

And that’s where you come in.

Even President Trump needs to hear pro-gun reminders and reassurances from the Second Amendment supporters who helped him get where he is today.

Urge him to stand with gun owners and OPPOSE all gun control, especially the “Feinstein-Cornyn” deal.

NAGR Supporter, I hope you’ll act now.

Because if President Trump is in fact listening to Cornyn peddle his snake oil, here’s the part about his bill that’s being left out:

*** Cornyn probably didn’t mention that his bill wouldn’t have done anything to stop the shooters in Florida, Texas, or Las Vegas.

*** Cornyn probably didn’t tell Trump that his bill strips gun rights from law-abiding Americans without trial or due process!

*** And he certainly didn’t tell the President that his co-sponsors are vehemently anti-gun Democrat Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Chris Murphy (D-CT). (See: S.2135)

It’s hard to explain just how AWFUL this piece of garbage gun control bill truly is.

If rammed through Congress and signed into law it will:

*** FORCE federal agencies and states to expand their record keeping -- steadily building the largest gun control database in U.S. history.

*** PUNISH states for not handing over tens of thousands of private records of hundreds of thousands of gun owners to Big Brother in Washington, D.C.

*** REWARD states with tens of millions of dollars for turning over their residents' records to gun control elites occupying federal agencies, and eagerly building the Brady-NICS Super Database.

*** UN-REPEAL the Obama-era Social Security Gun Ban and expand the “Veterans’ Gun Ban” in to other departments and agencies.

So, for the sake of your Second Amendment rights, I sincerely hope President Trump isn’t thinking of supporting this gun control “deal.”

But President Trump has been led astray by bad advice in the past.

As a candidate for office, he did support the “No-Fly, No Guns” Brady-NICS expansion scheme after Paul Ryan tried to pass it in 2016.

But he laid off of it after an outcry of opposition from gun owners like you.

So I hope you’ll let President Trump know where you stand today.

As President Trump correctly pointed out over the weekend, the Democrats had every chance to pass gun control when President Obama was in the White House.

But if this bill –- or any gun control bill -- gains steam in the Senate, mark my words, it will get a whole lot worse.

Massive new gun bans and prohibitions on firearm components and accessories -- even new “GUN CONFICSATION ORDERS” -- could all be on the table.

We’ve seen this show before.

Once any gun bill gains traction in the Senate, the final deal always...always...gets worse for gun owners.

But we do know one thing.

When gun owners speak up, President Trump has listened to you in the past.

After all, that’s how we convinced him to sign the REPEAL of Obama’s Social Security Gun Ban.

Grassroots gun activists like you can and have convinced President Trump to oppose gun control.

And together we can do so again.

So please don’t delay. Sign your petition today!

And if you can, please consider making a generous contribution to help keep the calls and petitions flooding in.

Whether you can give $50, $35, $20, or even just $5 or $10, it will be greatly appreciated.

We must not slow down now; if anything, we need to double down.

Thank you for your continued support.

Dudley Brown
