NAGR Thanks Senator Paul for His Vote Against Anti-Gun William Barr

February 14, 2019

The National Association for Gun Rights would like to thank Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) for his NO vote on the confirmation of Attorney General Nominee William Barr.

Senator Paul has been a steadfast voice against William Barr’s nomination from day one, bringing to light many of the dangers an anti-gun Attorney General will have on our Constitutional Rights.

Most notably, he highlighted William Barr’s comments in favor of “Red Flag” laws currently being discussed in Congress -- showing Mr. Barr's support for outright gun confiscation once in power.

In fact, throughout the nomination process we have seen Mr. Barr cozy up to Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and even win the support of infamous anti-gunner Joe Manchin (D-WV) when asked about his stance on enforcing new gun control laws.

Those aren’t two names we want associated with our new Attorney General at a time when our Second Amendment rights are under attack more and more every day.

Unfortunately, with a vote of 54-45, the United States Senate has officially confirmed William Barr as our next Attorney General.

But our fight isn’t over yet.

With Senator Paul standing strong as the voice of reason in a sea of RINO’s in Washington, D.C. we are confident any “Red Flag” bills that make their way to the Senate Floor will face fierce opposition before a possible vote.
