NAGR Opposes H.R. 8 - Universal Gun Registration House Democrats revive gun control bill they passed in 2019 |
|
Washington D.C. – The National Association for Gun Rights is urging every Member of Congress to oppose H.R. 8, a so-called “Universal Background Check” bill that is being brought back from the 116th Congress. “It’s not surprising that Biden’s lackeys Nancy Pelosi and her contingent of anti-gun Democrats are pushing this heinous gun control bill again,” said Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for Gun Rights. Successful implementation of a Universal Background Check law requires a firearms registry. Up to 95% of NICS denials are false positives, denying law abiding Americans from purchasing firearms. Expanding NICS through H.R. 8 will lead to more unjustified denials. The National Association for Gun Rights opposes H.R. 8 and all efforts to expand background checks (i.e. gun registration) on firearms purchases. The National Association for Gun Rights is the nation’s largest “no compromise” pro-gun organization, with 4.5 million members nationwide. |
