Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant position is responsible for data entry, compilation of financial reports, and maintenance of an efficient archival system for both paper and electronic documents.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Responsible for processing Accounts Payable vendor invoices, credit card entries and
employee reimbursements. Other Accounts Payable duties include:

  • Vendor maintenance.
  • Request and maintain W9’s.
  • Code and input Accounts Payable.
  • File and scan related documents.
  • Reconcile Credit Card statements.
  • Preparation of annual non-profit 990 reports (CPA only).

Assist in processing Accounts Receivable including:

  • Maintenance of accounting “class” for purposes of recording income (and expenses).
  • Enter receipts due from merchant services.
  • Interorganizational transactions.
  • Apply payments to open Accounts Receivable.
  • File and scan related documents.

Reconciliations:

  • Reconcile vendor statements, bank statements and credit card statements.
  • Fixed asset reconciliation
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Assist with standard Sales Tax forms and be the primary point of contact for Public
    Accountants completed sales, Use, and Tangible goods taxes.
  • Assist in preparing standard financial reports.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for
    financial and tax reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with additional regulatory filings including payroll taxes, sales and use tax
    and other business registrations.
  • Assist with writing and maintaining team policies and procedures.
  • Supports finance team by performing other duties and special assignments, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in accounting, from an AACSB accredited university.
  • 2+ Years of experience in Public Accounting.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Ability to accept direction, and work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, meet critical deadlines and remain highly organized.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Willingness to further their own professional development through additional education and
    training.

Salary range: $80,000 – $105,000
